A small fire broke out at the popular Pizza restaurant Basil on Kingston Avenue in Crown Heights on Tuesday afternoon during what would usually be a busy lunch hour.
The fire broke out at about 2:30 pm, and appears to have originated from a blocked vent in the restaurant’s wood-burning pizza oven, causing lots of smoke in the area, bystanders said.
Firefighters arrived and are on the scene. No one was injured.

What’s going on with all these fires these days?
Kudos to the Mashgiach Reb Laibel standing guard. A true mashgiach.
B’H no victims. Hope they fed the firemen.
The Rebbe’s mother used to live upstairs in that building, before she moved to 1414 President Street.
Very special
