Chasdei Soul II Soul has announced that effective immediately, David Farkash has been named as Executive Director of the organization.
David, or “Dudi” as he is better known, is well-known in the community as a person who cares deeply about the community and he has a singular interest in helping families with children with special needs.
He has been involved in Chesed for many years, serving as a chaplain in the largest prison in Israel, and serving as an emissary in Slovakia after the downfall of communism. He started the Jewish Day School in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, as well as the Chabad Day School in South Africa. He taught in HAFTR on Long Island for 6 years.
As a successful insurance executive, he is a shining example of what one can accomplish with drive and determination and is a role model for young professionals all over the world.
Shmuel and Tzirl Goldman, who have been the directors of Chasdei Soul II Soul for the past 15 years, are extremely pleased that Dudi has joined the organization and look forward to working with him as he transitions into his new role.
“I don’t think we could have asked for a better, more committed and capable person then Dudi to fill this role,” said Shmuel Goldman. “I know that as a sibling to a person with special needs, he has a deep and passionate understanding of what families with children with special needs face every day.”
“I have been involved with Soul II Soul over the years and have seen the amazing work that this organization does,” Farkash said. “Being asked to take a leadership role in such a special organization is both humbling and challenging. I pray that I will with Hashem’s help be successful and continue the great legacy that the Goldmans started.”
