‘Farbrengen Magazine,’ popular among many US Shluchim for its full color design, Jewish content and customizable format, has recently unveiled its brand new look.
Produced by Los Alamitos, California Shliach Rabbi Shmuel Marcus, the publication caught the eye of Lifestyle Europe Magazine publisher Jarred Sundel, who contributed to its brand new look.
Sundel, who has worked on Warner Brothers and DreamWorks projects, teamed up with designer Nechama Marcus, editor Rabbi Shmuel Marcus and photographer Levi Tenenbaum, to form a new style of magazine that will be modern and sophisticated, yet true to the ideas of Torah.
The new format is expected to reach some 250,000 people through 20 different publication names that include “Jewish Homemaker,” “Boulder Jewish News,” “Holiday Times,” and “Chabad Times.”
The new design allows for shluchim to create their own name for their local magazine. Shluchim that have already used this feature include locations such as Manalapan, NJ, Davenport, IA, Park Slope, NY, Coram, NY, Bonita Springs, FL, Brooklyn, NY, Kansas City, MO, Omaha, NB, Miami Beach, FL, Tallahassee, FL, Hoboken, NJ, Toledo, OH, Riverdale, NY, Grand Rapids, MI, Minnetonka, MN, Minneapolis, MN, St. Paul, MN, Northbrook, IL, Satellite Beach, FL, Los Angeles, CA, Tulsa, OK, Cheadle, UK, Westminster, CO, Orange County, CA, and Houston, TX.
All these changes “make shluchim look very good in the eyes of their readers,” says Marcus. “The magazine is a great way to send people not just a simple holiday guide, but a publication that shows what you do, and why you do it.”
The next issue comes out for Chanukah.

Thank you Avraham Green, for partnering with the Farbrengin magazine to make this great publication available for all shluchim.
We have been using this magazine since Avraham Green started to publish it, it’s a great format, easy to personalize, professional looking, and he goes out of his way to keep the costs affordable, its a pleasure working with him.

The graphics are definitely not as edgy as they used to be in the early days… which I miss. They always had a cutting edge, hip west-coast vibe! The new Farbrengen is very generic, glossy-mag-style, nothing to write home about…
count me in too. is there still any time left? hey wait for.me count me in cmon a little ahavas yisroel ok? count me in
Who do I contact to order the magazine?
I’m happy to learn about this via col. But for shluchim like us, what is the price? It looks amazing.
#4 who r u?
S Beach totally rocks!
this is the absolute best value for your dollar. big yasher koach to Marcus for putting this together and for Green for getting it to us in the field. keep em comin.
Yup, Farbrengen is an incredible magazine. My only criticism is the price, which although extremely fair for what is offered, is out of our budget. I miss the Jewish Holiday newspaper which, although not as professional, was very affordable for everyone.
.Looks beautiful!!
In my opinion the Farbrengen Magazine is the best we’ve got and the feedback is better than any publication we’ve ever sent out.
I’m glad to see the secret is out as I’m sure the more Shluchim who hear about this superb piece of art will join those already subscribed.
The grand salute goes to Avrohom Green, a professional par excellence who’s the biggest mentch to work with it is poshut a mechaye!
Go Farbrengen!!

All Shluchim should really get it! It’s a premade VERY professional magazine
I’ve been working with Avraham Green and the Shluchim Office on brochures and the Farbrengen Mag for years now. I must say that he has made extra-special efforts in coordinating my always-last-minute order and personalization. He is always accommodating to my multiple and annoying changes. When I asked him why he puts up with me – and perhaps others who might not be the easiest customers – he told me that he just loves helping Shluchim!!
I couldn’t do it without him.
Keep up the good work Avraham Green, the Shluchim Office and Farbrengen Magazine.
the “Dream team ”
As one of the Chabad Houses that use this magazine, I want to thank Avraham Green and the Shluchim Office for making this opportunity available to Shluchim.
The feedback that we have received from the issues that have been sent out has only been the greatest. People are very impressed with the content and quality.
Avraham Green is so patient and easy to work with and is eager to please; I highly recommend using the magazine.
Avraham Green has really been a great help to this mag, I’m sorry to say he should have ben mentioned in the article. I am a shliach that uses the magazine and I’m very happy with working with him.
A colleague of mine, who is not Chabad herself, studied graphic design in a college in New York (can’t recall which one, but not a Jewish one). She said that her teacher asked her to get hold of a Chabad Farbrengen magazine and bring it in because they have the best graphic design he has seen.
The first of it’s kind still looking good.
