The family of Mrs. Sima Lokshin dedicated a newly renovated and furnished lounge at the Crown Heights Mikvah, in honor of what would have been her 60th birthday.
Mrs. Lokshin passed away in October of 2011 at the age of 57.
Mrs. Lokshin was “a dedicated mother and a true Jewish woman,” her daughter said in a short speech. “Growing up we were certain of two things: 1. Our Judaism is uncompromised and 2. While our father worked long hours our mother was dedicated to us to her core.”
The Lokshin family thanked Mrs. Nechama Hackner for her assistance and expressed the hope that people will follow suit and continue helping towards the renovating of the Mikvah.
Some of the original tiles from the Rebbe’s Mikvah have been preserved and are available to purchase. To donate send Paypal to [email protected].

Horray for thé best honor: to donate to a mikva!now it’s time to EXPAND. The community has b”h grown, with over 55 ladies nightly and only 12 bathrooms!!!plus 3 showers!!! Not counting guests, tishreyetc. Forget the renovations!,Build more bathrooms!!!
may we be reunited with our loved ones NOW and see simas happy smiling face full of nachas from what her family and loved ones have done in her merit
WOW. What a difference, but i think its about time the men of this community see what the women’s facility’s looked like before the renovations!!
thank you for all the improvements. may they continue!
Its time to finish the renovations on the rest of the mikvah!
