On Rosh Chodesh Tamuz, a pioneering Shidduchim event run by ChabadMatch will take place in Crown Heights at Machon L’Yahadus, 825 Eastern Parkway.

The Shadchanim attending include:

In addition, a Shidduch networking table will take place during the event run by moderators and enabling mothers to network amongst each other to try and come up with suggestions. There will also be a table where singles/parents can receive tips on improving their resume to make it more presentable.
The event will be open from 3pm -7:30pm for parents, and from 3pm-5pm for girls and 5:30pm-7:30 pm for Bochurim.
“Last year, ChabadMatch launched an automated suggestion feature where relevant suggestions for singles are sent to Shadchanim that know them, and they can review both profiles side by side. This feature has led to unprecedented successful Shidduchim, and we can now report 140+ direct Shidduchim via the site”, relates Moshe Raichman of ChabadMatch.
“After receiving multiple requests from singles, parents, and Shadchanim we are looking forward to organizing this networking event, to help facilitate more Shidduchim. The objective of the event is for each person attending to have several suggestions to pursue.”
Registration for the event is at ChabadMatch.com/Register.
Registration is free for ChabadMatch members and $10 for non-members. Once registered, you will be able to make up to 4 appointments with Shadchanim whom you would like to meet. Meetings are available on a first come first serve basis, so everyone is encouraged to register as soon as possible.
It’s always so good to see the great work all these sites are doing! I personally had my son get engaged through FindYourBashert.com but both these sites seem to be amazing!
question:
some of these shadchanim charge an upfront fee. Do these fees apply for someone who meets them at this event?
Out of personal experience, we have to make sure to treat the potential spouses as actual people not just names on a paper. I hope that’ll be the focal point of the discussion that every date matters. Especially since I feel a bit insulted for not being invited…………
There should be a yearly if not monthly sponsored event, where singles can just do their thing, I promise it would prove far more effective. for those of you who believe that isn’t tznius… you’re entitled to your opinion but at the end of the day it is the young people’s choice as to how they will go about finding their bashert. For arguments sake I do ask, years down the line does it really make a difference if the couple met in an “unconventional” setting? And if there is a way to solve a shidduch crisis (where because of… Read more »
Great opportunity to meet in person the shadchan you are or will be using, and meet new ones that you may never have known.

I believe the fear is when you are the only one, but if you are in a room with others, the fear will melt away.

It is so true, what you say, but a shadchan that dedicates hours (daily or weekly) can make things move a lot quicker.
From someone that is trying to help others find their bashert (in spare time)!
Been saying that forever, give our community time, honestly takes a long time for our community to adapt to change.

First of all, we have two nefashos…. the tachlus of our generation is to exercise both. Lav dafka this program is truly pertaining to our nefesh ha Bahamas and nefesh elokus. We must be aware of our struggles of our time and not close our eyes to where we are lacking.

What if the girls and boys can have a room where they can do some spead dating?
Mrs,Esther Wilhelm. She’s Amazing.
Why put bochurim and girls times separate when the goal is for them to meet?????? Delaying the process in the name of tznius!!!
Sounds scary.
Why not just invite boys and girls at the same time? Wouldn’t that be a convenient way for individuals to meet?
