The “Ezer LeChayal” organization – Kfar Chabad Command Center, under the direction of Rabbi Eliyahu Gutman, proudly reflects on the months of Elul and Tishrei — a period filled with tireless activity dedicated to the welfare of IDF soldiers and their families, both physically and spiritually.
Throughout the month of Elul and the High Holidays, the organization distributed shofars to soldiers stationed across various fronts, while volunteer teams assisted in organizing prayer services on army bases, enabling soldiers to hear the shofar and experience the sanctity of the holidays even while on duty.
At the same time, the organization provided food vouchers to families of reservists in need, ensuring they could celebrate the holidays with dignity and joy.
Ahead of Sukkot, the organization distributed beautiful sets of the Four Species (Arba Minim) to IDF soldiers, supporters of the organization, and senior army officials.
During Chol HaMoed, special teams and mobile sukkot units traveled to Israel’s borders, bringing holiday joy, refreshments, and a heartfelt embrace from the people of Israel to the soldiers on the front lines.
On Simchat Torah, the organization funded freshly cooked meals under Lubavitch kosher supervision for Chabad soldiers, enabling them to celebrate the holiday with joy and splendor. Dancing and Hakafot celebrations were also held together with soldiers on bases across the country.
Even now, the organization continues its mission, preparing for the upcoming winter season — to support the soldiers during cold and rainy weather with both practical supplies and spiritual warmth.
