The New Haven Jewish community and Yeshivas Beis Dovid Shlomo students and alumni will mark the Shloshim of Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Kalmenson z”l, their beloved longtime Rosh Yeshiva and world-renowned author of Reshimas Shiurim.
The event will take place on Monday, the eve of 6 Cheshvan 5786 (October 27, 2025), at the Congregation Chabad Lubavitch-Yeshiva Gedola Beis Dovid Shlomo, located at 292 Norton Street in New Haven, Connecticut. Doors will open at 7:30 PM, with the program starting at 8:00 PM.
The gathering will be an opportunity for men and women from New Haven and beyond to honor Rabbi Kalmenson’s memory and draw inspiration from his lifelong dedication to Torah, mivtzaim and ahavas Yisroel.

As a bochur in a litvish camp rav kalmenson ztzl came to sell his seforim , I bought one to be nice and used when I got older..and I found myself watching the shloshim..it was so refreshing each speaker content and delivery yehei zichro baruch..dee kinder zenen is gematert!!!!
