“Shalhevet Chabad” of Karmiel is known for providing a high standard of education, focusing not only on academic excellence but also on fostering a strong Jewish identity.
The school stands out for its innovation and unique approach, ensuring that every child receives a well-rounded and meaningful learning experience.
Amidst the ongoing war in northern Israel, students at “Shalhavot Chabad” school in Karmiel faced the prospect of halted education due to safety concerns.
In response to the dire situation, the school took swift action and acquired a secure mobile shelter, allowing it to reopen its doors and resume educational activities.
Over the last few months, many rockets landed in Karmiel, not far from the school, underscoring the critical need for a safe and protected environment.
“This situation was simply unbearable,” says Anat, mother of Or, a second-grader. “Or missed his friends and teachers and constantly asked when he could return to school. Thanks to the shelter, the school is open again, and he can now learn in safety. But we urgently need to cover the cost of this shelter to secure our children’s future. This shelter isn’t just a building; it’s an investment in their safety and growth. I’m calling on everyone who can help to donate. Every shekel makes a difference.”
The shelter, which cost 240,000 shekels (around $62,000), has already been installed, but the school is now seeking support to complete the payment.
“This shelter is more than just a building; it represents hope for a better future,” says Rabbi Nochum Rivkin, the school’s principal. “Our children deserve a safe environment where they can learn and grow, and we are committed to providing that.”
Please consider lending a hand to the Shluchim and the amazing school that they direct to help fund the shelter. Every contribution, big or small, will help secure the children’s safety and ensure the school can continue operating smoothly.
