Yochanan (Freddy) Camargo, a member of Chabad shul in Sunrise, FL, passed away after a tragic accident on the eve of Simchas Torah, 5781.
He was 51.
The beloved husband and father of two was tragically hit by a speeding vehicle on his way back from Shul on the eve of Simchat Torah.
The incident occurred while crossing the street on his way home to celebrate the Yom Tov meal with his family.
After several days in the hospital in intensive medical care, Yochanan succumbed to his injuries, a devastating shock to his family, friends and community.
Yochanan was known as a kind, caring and extremely aidel, refined person.
He is survived by his wife Sarah and 2 children.
This unfortunate event has left a dent in the hearts of those who knew him, as anyone who knows the Camargo family is immediately affected by their loving hearts and warm smiles.
A fund has been set up to help support his family in the coming months and to help with the medical and funeral expenses. Let us end the holiday season and start the new year with love and charity.
