Here’s a little story I’d like to tell,
So all you folks better listen well
A couple a thousand long years ago,
There was a very nasty evil king who’s name was Pharaoh
But hey hey hey y’all lets begin from the start
And this cool and awesome story is gonna make ya smart
When Yoseph went down to the Egypt land,
He became to Pharaoh the second in command

Goshen was the place to where the tribes did go
They multiplied so fast till Pharaoh screamed Oh no!
They’re gonna take us over, steal our territory
Get those Jews all out here and make up a story
We gotta work together, assimilate as one
Working as a team ya know we’ll get the job done.
Tons of bricks and straw made each and every day
It had to be complete or they could not go home and pray

Still the Jews maintained a strong identity
Jewish names, their language, they all dressed properly
They were so very tired, they cried and begged each day
Please Hashem do save us and take us all away! …

It was at this very time, Hashem made a decree
Moshe would be born and set the nation free
Amram and Yocheved this baby they did hide
While in the Nile river he took a little ride
A pretty gal named Batya found him floating in the water
Guess what everybody? She was Pharaoh’s daughter
So Moshe was brought up within the palace wall
An Egyptian hit a Jew, so Moshe made him fall
He had to run to run away to a faraway land
And from the burning bush he was given this command
Go back to Mitzrayim and set my people free
Moshe then did answer “Does it have to be me?”
“I can’t even talk straight, the people they won’t hear”
Hashem said: “Right now there ain’t no time to spare”
Moshe came and said time to let the Jews Go…
Uh oh King Pharaoh said no, uh oh King Pharaoh said no!

C double o straight to the L, clap your hands if you know how to spell
B-L-O-O-D – the Egyptian water was very bloody
F-r-o-g and –S- those frogs were makin such a big mess
L-I-C- and E the lice were making everyone itchy
Moshe kept saying ..please let the Jews go,
Pharaoh would say yes and then change it to no!
Uh oh King Pharaoh said no

Lions tigers and bears oh my,
All the Egyptians let out a cry
Cattle dropping dead all around town,
Oh something real bad was going down
Boils and blisters, they hurt so bad
Oh man, King Pharaoh was going mad
Fire and ice came down as hail
And in Pharaoh’s palace, there was a loud wail
Great green grasshoppers eating all the crops
No matter how they tried, they couldn’t make it stop

Moshe kept repeating “it’s time to let them go”
Paroe would say Yes and then change it to NO!
Uh oh King Pharaoh said no, Uh oh King Pharaoh said no!

Stuck in the bathroom, because there was no light
Egyptians couldn’t move for seven days and nights.
Then every firstborn in the land of Mitzrayim
It just happened that they all started dyin’!
Pharaoh came running in pajamas you know
Screaming and yelling “ok I’ll let them go!”
Get out of my land, before I Do die!
I am a firstborn and I’m gonna cry!
There was no time to waste, the Jews got all packed
Their kids and their goodies, and the dough on their backs
With no time to rise and no time to bake
The sun turned the dough into Flat Matzah cake..

Wonders and miracles before their very eyes
The Yam Suf then split, to the Jews great surprise!
From Slaves in Mitzrayim, we’ve come along way
For Torah and The Mitzvot we have freedom today
The Matzah we eat and the four cups of wine
To remember we are free, don’t forget to recline!
The Maror we eat to remind us of our tears
Of our slavery in Egypt ,what bitter years.
And that’s why at the Seder we remember Mitzrayim,
L’SHANA HABBAH BI’YIRUSHALAYIM!
