The full and edited text of the talk the Rebbe gave during a Lag BaOmer Parade in 5736 (1976) was published this week for the first time.
The Lahak organization, which transcribes the Rebbe’s teachings in cooperation with Kehot Publication Society, said the notes the Rebbe wrote were recently discovered.
It was originally said in Yiddish in front of the many participants of the grand Lag BaOmer parade that took place that year in front of Lubavitch World Headquarters at 770 Eastern Parkway.
The sicha was transcribed by the team of ‘choizrim’ and sent to the Rebbe for editing, which the Rebbe did by hand. But the documents were not seen until today.
In it, the Rebbe focuses on the critical importance of Jewish education and its connection to Lag BaOmer and the sage Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai who passed away on that day.
