Eber’s Liquor and Wine, a longtime staple shop in Crown Heights, has won an online voting competition as one of Brooklyn’s favorite businesses.
The shop was nominated for the One Brooklyn Cornerstone Award from Brooklyn Boro President Eric Adams, in the Longevity category, recognizing popular neighborhood businesses which have been around for over 40 years.
“This award recognizes those businesses that have sustained operations and supported their communities across the borough,” the voting website says.
Eber’s was the winner with 1,286 votes, with more than double the votes of the second-place winner, Ali’s Trinidad Roti Shop, with 621 votes.
Winners were announced on the One Brooklyn Fund Instagram page.
The awards will be presented at the 3rd Annual One Brooklyn Fund Inc. Gala on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the Brooklyn Museum.
