Buying and selling on eBay, Amazon, and other online platforms has over the last 5-10 years become an increasingly common occupation for men and women in the frum community. The reason for this is obvious; it’s a way to earn a living and support your family that doesn’t require a college degree or some other qualifications, all it requires is hard work and a willingness to always be learning.
The E-Commerce industry is an always-shifting, fast-moving landscape where the best practices and common sense of yesterday may no longer be relevant by noon today. In order to help business men and women stay current and competitive in this field, on Wednesday, February 18th, CHYE will be hosting a E-Commerce seminar and networking event at ULY 570 Crown Street that will give business owners and entrepreneurs the chance to hear from, and speak to leaders in their industry, the pioneers who got there first and managed to stay ahead of the game.
The keynote speaker at the event will be Mr. Eli Katz, CEO of the “The Emob” (theemob.org), a trade network for mid-market online retailers representing over $1 Billion in revenue, and a 20-year veteran of the E-Commerce industry. “I am excited to share my journey and experiences with other community members,” says Eli. “The changing face of retail has created many opportunities for entrepreneurs while at the same time presenting challenges and pitfalls that business owners could never imagine; I believe that my own hard-earned lessons in this business can be valuable to to others trying to make their way.”
Other industry veterans will be conducting roundtable discussions on their areas of expertise, such as Mr. Mendy Lieberman who will be discussing the finer points of dealing with Amazon and eBay and Mrs. Kayla Kramer, who will be discussing the unique challenges faced by women in the E-Commerce business.
Just as important as hearing from the experts will be the opportunity to network with peers and make meaningful, fruitful business connections. Over 150 people are expected to attend, making this a meet-and-greet nobody will want to miss.
Additionally, the event will be hosting a industry services provider trade show, with companies like Sellercloud, DHL, and SBA Loan Group manning booths and providing the chance for E-Commerce entrepreneurs to learn more about the potential benefits these services can bring to their operation.
Online retail is undeniably poised to dominate the way the world buys and sells both in the present and the very near future, so whether you’re a 5-year veteran or just someone thinking about jumping in, this event will be a rare and valuable opportunity to hear from the best, make connections, and learn how to maximize your businesses potential.
Cost: $15 in advance, $25 at the door. Please Note: The event is open to both Men & Women For more info or to RSVP logon to www.chye.info/event_directory
