Draizel Merka Altman, a Lubavitch woman who lived in Lakewood, New Jersey, passed away Tuesday, Elul 10, 5772.
She was 53.
Over the years she has suffered from a lengthy illness. A family friend said she had seen many miracles in relation to her health. Recently, the name Chaya was added.
One of the things done in her merit was the first-ever car menorah parade organized this past Chanuka by her husband Rabbi Yerachmiel Altman and the Shluchim in the area.
A farbrengen was later held with the bochurim of Yeshiva Bais Menachem, Manalapan, NJ, where L’chaim was said for her.
Her levaya left from The Villas Hall on Kennedy Blvd in Lakewood Tuesday at 11 AM and passed by 770 Eastern Parkway at 2:50 pm on its way to the Old Montefiore cemetery in Queens.
She is survived by Rabbi Altman (now living in Crown Heights) and their children Bayla Kroll, Meir Moshe Altman and Faigy Altman.
The family will be sitting Shiva at 1401 Twin Oaks Dr. Lakewood, NJ 18701. Shachris will be at 8:00am. Mincha 7:15pm and Maariv 8:15pm.
