What the rabbi said…
Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the chief medical advisor to President Joe Biden, backed a new study that 3 feet of physical distance were enough to avoid contracting Covid-19.
Government officials, from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other agencies, have been stipulating that “at least 6-foot” of social distance was required. This guidance is widely being practiced and required in public spaces.
The new study conducted in Massachusetts and published last week in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases found no “significant difference” in Covid cases among school districts implementing 3 feet of distance, compared to 6.
Fauci told CNN’s Jake Tapper he was “very well aware that data are accumulating making it look more like 3 feet are OK under certain circumstances.”

Seeing the statement, a friend of Rabbi Shimon Freundlich went back and found a video statement that the Director of Chabad of Beijing in China filmed in March 2020 at the onset of the coronavirus breakout.
At the time, Rabbi Freundlich alerted fellow Jews in western countries about the danger of the virus and suggested ways to go forward based on the experience he and his community had. Covid originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan.
In that clip, Rabbi Freundlich suggested that people keep 3 feet of distance to avoid contracting and spreading the virus. His friend created a clip showing what he said and what Dr. Fauci is now saying.
Speaking to COLlive.com, Rabbi Freundlich admitted that at the time people criticized him for stating that 3 feet were enough while US health officials said it did not suffice.
“I’m not a doctor or medical professional, but I knew what was real and what worked because I live in a country where people followed the rules with these guidelines,” the rabbi said.
He didn’t want to elaborate about being vindicated, saying “the problem in America is that [the pandemic] was politicized.”
Rabbi Freundlich, who is currently preparing for Pesach in Beijing, reports that there has not been any new coronavirus case in China for over 50 days.
“Everybody is still wearing masks because people want to stay healthy, don’t want to get sick and don’t want to be in lockdown,” he said.
He says a health app helps both the government and public establishments, as well as private people, track people’s health condition.
“Everyone has a health code app and needs to scan it when entering a place,” he says. “If it’s green, there’s no problem. If I was near a high-risk zone, it will come up red. They scan the app before I visit factories for kosher inspections. Health is absolutely fantastic here in terms of Covid.”

Can shuls, schools, camps, stores, weddings etc operate at a distance of 3 ft, NO!
Neither can hospitals, dentists, doctors,
This is literally like saying if everyone wears an astronaut suit they won’t get Covid
Gee thanks

China is a country run by intelligent individuals with a laser-focused mission. The fact that they haven’t had a Covid case in 50 days — even if you believe they are not reporting correct statistics — combined with the fact that they were the only country to report economic growth in 2020 suggests that they are doing something right. It will be a sad day when they overtake us in absolute terms of standard of living.
it helps cement Fauxci’s reputation for flip-flopping. Next week he’ll come out saying that 3 feet and even 6 feet aren’t enough, you need 12 feet, and still claim with a straight face that everything he’s saying is “scientific.” And you’ll still have gullible people believing everything he says and thinking that he saved us.
A year ago, Netanyahu said that a distance of 3 METERS would be optimal. But of course that would have been impossible in practice, so it was adjusted to 2 meters.
and would gladly explain this to Rabbi Fruendlich
Was anyone in an airplane lately. Was the person seated next to you 3 feet or 6 feet away from you?
Fauci is a scare monger who is very impressed with himself. He changes his opinions every month or so. I simply don’t pay any attention to his announcements; Those who are keeping close tabs on this magaifah will tell you that Fauci’s statements aren’t backed by universal, empirical facts. They simply reflect what will keep him looking relevant for as long as the pandemic is still active. The man’s a failure.
Other NORMAL people have said the same like months ago…
Scratch that, clowns have a better grasp of what they’re doing than this man.
There are many people reading and posting here that are quick to discount and criticize. it’s a tough job making a public statement. you don’t know until you do it regularly.
You say “it’s a tough job” making public statements. No one will dispute that. However, leaders should be leading, not flip-flopping every few weeks. Anybody can do that, even a novice ( e.g. “Tomorrow it will rain, or maybe not.”) If one’s batting average for hitting the nail on the head concerning all-important issues is as dismal as Fauci’s then maybe he should remove himself from this “tough job” or, at the very least, humble himself enough to explain that his statements are not etched in stone and are not incontrovertible. Sadly, the words “Humble” and “Fauci” don’t go together.… Read more »
https://twitter.com/DiseaseEcology/status/1371346026355851266 Is 6′ of space required to keep kids safe in schools, or is 3′ enough? One of the most important questions for re-opening schools safely. Thread tl;dr New paper suggests 3′ is enough, but paper is fraught with issues & is unconvincing, even though I really wanted it to be right. Background SARS-COV-2 transmission in children has been one of the most contentious issues of the pandemic. Schools were closed in most of the world in early 2020 b/c kids play a big role in influenza transmission & without info, same was assumed for SARS-COV-2. A mountain of evidence… Read more »
