Dovber Winner, the newborn son of the Chabad Shluchim at the University of Arizona, passed away on Shabbos afternoon, 25 Adar I 5776.
The 3-month-old baby was named after the Mittler Rebbe as he was born on Tes Kislev, both the birthday and yartzeit of the second Chabad Rebbe.
The sudden and tragic death shocked the students and the Jewish community in Tucson who have come to admire the dedicated work of the boy’s parents, Shluchim Rabbi Yossi and Naomi Winner at the University of Arizona.
He is survived by his parents, and siblings Mendel, Shmulie, Dovid, Zalman and Bluma.
He is also survived by his grandparents Rabbi Zushe and Esther Winner of Brooklyn, NY, and R’ Yaakov Shlomo and Rivki Goldstein of Toronto, Canada.
The levaya will take place Monday, March 7th at 10:00 AM from Shomrei Hadas – 3803 14th Ave, and pass by 770 Eastern Parkway at 10:45 AM. Interment at Old Montefiore Cemetery in Cambria Heights.
Shiva will be held at 321 Seabreeze Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11224, starting on Monday evening.
