Did you find the right Yeshiva for your teenage son?
TAG Academy enters its fifth year, guided by its acronym – Torah, Avodah, Gemilas Chasadim. These principles are not just part of its name but the very essence of their mission. At TAG, every boy is embraced in his uniqueness, met where he is, and given the tools to flourish emotionally, academically, and socially. With patience, love, and trust, TAG helps transform challenges into stepping stones, revealing every student’s innate goodness and empowering them to grow into confident, thriving young men – At TAG “You’re It!” – every teen matters.
TAG is a collaboration of four energetic rabbis, each with a wealth of experience educating teenage boys. They form an incredible rapport with the students and clearly have their finger on the pulse of today’s adolescents.
Rabbis Aizik Chanin, Zalmy Raksin and Levi Blizinsky worked side-by-side for 12 years at JETS, a technical college and high school for young Jewish men in Los Angeles. As well, Blizinsky served five years as principal of Wilkes-Barre, also a school dedicated to teen boys needing additional attention and structure.
Completing this dream-team of Jewish educators is Rabbi Pinny Andrusier, director of Chabad SW Broward in Cooper City, Florida. Rabbi Pinny is renowned for his dynamic personality and for organizing large scale fun-filled community events such as Jewish Heritage Night with the Miami Heat.
The powerful alliance, unity and chemistry between TAG’s leaders has allowed them to effectively connect with the students and help guide them on their personal paths of growth and success.
Last year, TAG Academy reached a major milestone as the State of Florida officially recognized the school with accreditation compliance, allowing TAG to accept Step-Up and other state scholarship programs for Florida residents. Parents, rabbis, and educational leaders in the Jewish world also acknowledged TAG’s remarkable success in guiding one of the most challenging demographics facing the community today—teenage boys ages 14–18.
The feedback from parents speak volumes:
“I wanted to say a tremendous yasher koach for putting your heart into TAG and believing in these boys. It’s places like TAG that are saving today’s bochurim, and I thank you for this holy work.”
“We want to thank each of you for making this your life’s mission to be there for boys like Moshe at such a challenging time. You have stepped up to fill a void in the Chinuch system, saving one neshama after another. Hashem should bentch you to continue doing this incredible work.”
“We’ve seen amazing growth in our son. We know it takes patience and love, and we are grateful.”
“Thank you for everything you do for Yaakov and for all the love you give him. We are so grateful that he has this special relationship with you. It’s all these positive experiences that will stay with him and keep him connected.”
