Machon L’yahadus has announced that tickets are now on sale for their annual boutique auction, set to take place on Sunday, January 14, the eve of Chof Ches Teves, in honor of the birthday of Rebbetzin Chana.
MLY’s exclusive auction features a rare and very exciting grand prize — a dollar that was received from the Lubavitcher Rebbe on Hoshaana Rabba, 5746 (October 6, 1985). The other fabulous prizes include a ZELDA wig, cash, gift certificates for Jewelry and Judaica Silver and more. Tickets can already be purchased on their website, www.MachonAuction.com
“Our auction is really unique in that we offer select, high value prizes such as a ZELDA wig, and tickets for all prizes are just $20 each!” says Mrs. Chani Glick, one of the auction event organizers.
The Boutique Auction is a vital fundraiser to help support the tremendous growth that Machon L’yahadus has been seeing lately. Rabbi Shloma Majeski, principal of Machon L’yahadus, shared, “Over the last two years, the student body has doubled in size. Almost all of our students from last year stayed on again this year, even those who had already completed two full years in the school. The dorm is now filled to capacity and additional full-time staff have been hired to accommodate it all.
Machon L’yahadus educates Jewish women as they rediscover their heritage, empowering them to go on to build their own warm, chassidishe homes in places around the world. It is a place where the desire of Jewish girls from all walks of life, to be able to lead Jewish lives, becomes realized. We believe that no girl should be turned away from this opportunity due to a lack of funds, for a chance to live a Torah-true life is the right of every Jew regardless of circumstances. By supporting Machon L’yahadus you are literally directly affecting generations to come!”
This Boutique Auction presents an excellent opportunity to support Machon L’yahadus, save on your 2017 taxes before the new tax laws go into effect in 2018, and have fun – all at the same time!
In addition to the ticket sales going on now, plans are well underway for the incredible auction evening to be held on Sunday January 14, the eve of Chof Ches Teves, the birthday of Rebbetzin Chana. It promises to be a night to remember, offering inspiration and entertainment; featuring Chavah Levine’s captivating story of her one-of-a-kind journey from Papua New Guinea to Crown Heights, and a stunning musical performance by Liron Gavri who left her career on Broadway to pursue a religious lifestyle and is now studying in Machon L’yahadus. Guests will also enjoy a delightful milchig buffet generously sponsored by Kaf Kaffe, Danish and Dough and Chocolatte. Machon L’yahadus staff and students look forward to seeing you there!

Rabbi Majeski, Yehudis Cohen and the whole staff offer such deep and personal caring. I know a girl who’s parents were very worried when she became Chabad and joiined MIY last year. Rabbi M’s personal outreach and calm, gentle caring totally won them over. They saw the special care their daughter was getting. From strength to strength, building new generations!
