The second annual appreciation event for the women who serve at both Crown Heights women’s Mikvahs took place Sunday in Crown Heights.
The staff of the Crown Heights Women’s Mikvah and Mikvah Mei Chaya Mushka gathered for a brunch hosted by Cherry New with Rivkah Sarah Chein, where they were thanked for their efforts as they continue to ensure the highest standards of care in fulfilling their duties for the women of our community.
Mikvah Mei Chaya Mushka, which is celebrating its fourth year since opening, has serviced 36,000 people, many of whom visit accompanied by Shluchim, Shluchos, and with tours from around the world, to be inspired about the special Mitzvah and for ideas and inspiration on building a state of the art Mikvah that enhances and beautifies the Mitzvah.
At the event, longtime attendant at the Crown Heights Women’s Mikvah Mrs. Leah Yechielov shared stories about the Mikvah behind the iron curtain and the Mesiras nefesh of the women in Russia to fulfill this mitzvah.
Mrs. Ruthie Sperlin shared beautiful insights on Mikvah, and singer and health coach Rivkah Krinsky inspired through song and spoke about health and holiness.
“There was a very special atmosphere at the event, there was a true feeling of achdus that we are working together to serve the community,” a participant said.
Special thanks were given to the Mikvah attendants Dina Bornstein, Rivky Stillerman, Miriam Bardwigdor, Chana Seligson, Aviva Woolstone and Baila Kreiner, and receptionists Chana Seligson, Meyrav Tovitou, Shayna Roth, Chaya Leah Pinson and Chana Devora Pinson; as well as Leah Yecheilov, Esther Coren, Rochel Keller, Sora Yusewitz, Malkie Shkolnik, and Yocheved Boruchov.
