U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida is on a lucky streak.
After helping the Democratic party make gains in the last elections, President Barack Obama has asked her to remain at the helm of the Democratic National Committee.
Agree or not with her domestic policies, the Jewish power-broker has used her influence to support Israel, most recently during the Hamas terrorist assault on Israel.
And on Sunday this week she was in the Town Center of Weston to celebrate Chanukah with Chabad, Weston Mayor Dan Stermer and city commissioners.
Standing before 1000 people gathered, Wasserman Schultz was honored with lighting the Menorah together with Shliach Rabbi Yisroel Spalter and other dignitaries.
The Congresswoman spoke about her love for Lubavitch and her personal experiences with Lubavitch locally, in Washington, DC and in many other states across the country.
And to keep the children entertained, performer and mentalist Guy Bavli wowed the crowd with a mind-numbing performance. Music, dancing and special Chanukah gifts and gelt were given out.
The event was preceded by a large parade of Car Menorahs that drove from Chabad House to the Town Center in a grand display of Pirsumei Nisa and Kiddush Hashem.
Such a nice person!
