Mivtzoim is also a matter of ‘pekuah nefesh.’
I had a very successful cousin who is no longer alive. Had he some belief and ’emunah’ in HaShem he probably would be alive today.
(He was a heart specialist and saved many lives but he couldn’t save his own.)

You are correct. However, I’m a bit turned off by the lack of appreciation you seem to have for the Rosh Yeshiva’s work. He appreciates the work you do but you seem to ignore the fact that he spends his days teaching yidden Torah.
    Keep up your good work!

This is even nicer than the usual Lubavitcher bochur who grows up with this. This boy might not even be Lubavitch and is happily putting on tefillin with someone.

All of us remember the Good Ole days when you debated the ROSH daily at YOEC in HollyWeird CA.
Who else besides Gill ,,,, has taught so many about AIN ODE M’ILVADOE? Who else had a Van that had YAY G-d written all over it? Who else besides Gill could have such holy chutzpa to a Rosh Hayisheiva in E”Y?
I will see you soon in Yerushalayim…

    We love you Gil

THIS ROSH YESHIVAH MIGHT BE SITTING AND LEARNING ALL DAY, BUT WHAT GOOD IS LEARNING WHEN IT’S NOT PRACTICED? AND ONE OF THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE TORAH IS VE’OHAVTO LERAYACHO KO MOCHO. THAT WAS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NOACH AND AVRAHAM. NOACH WAITED UNTIL SOMEONE TRIPPED OVER HIS TAIVA WHEREAS AVRAHAM WENT OUT LOOKING FOR WHOM HE COULD HELP. AS FOR RESPECT FOR THE ROSH Y. THERE IS AN OLD SAYING, WHEN ONE LOOKS FOR IT, IT RUNS AWAY. WHEN ONE DOES THE RIGHT THING HE IS AUTOMATICALLY GIVEN THE PROPER RESPECT AND THEN SOME. AND WHILE ON THE SUBJECT OF… Read more »

Why cant we also focus on ourselves too. Our institutions are not that great. Many bachurim are find it hard enough to keep their beard without trimming. Jeans is now commonplace. not to mention many other thing things….
Sadly enough, for many, the only motivating factor is the ability to help a fry Jew. We all know there is a point for Mivtzoyim.
Even the misnagdim have many mosdos well fit for Kiruv.
