Camp Emunah marked Gimmel Tammuz with a day of connection, reflection, inspiration and memories.
Already prior to Shabbos, girls in the Jr. Division were divided to present to the camp a project based on one of the mivtzoim that the Rebbe instituted. The results were a project-based, hands-on experience of the Rebbe’s mivtzoim for the campers and by the campers.
The 30 hour campaign was based on a sicha of the Rebbe from Beis Nissan. The sicha was learned by the campers in shiur and it discusses the relevance of connecting to a Rebbe through the Torah and initiatives of the Rebbe even after the histalkus.
As one camper put it, “the campaign has highlighted that our generation can still connect to the Rebbe in a meaningful way.
The Project Gimmel Tammuz was further accentuated by the girls’ participation in JEM’s connection point project for camps. Campers were uplifted by the words of the Rebbe that was presented to them in a format that was very easy to follow.
The theme of hiskashrus was further highlighted by the presence of guest Rabbi Shmuel Lew. As a veteran shliach and mechanech, Rabbi Lew inspired the girls of Camp Emunah with uplifting and inspiring words.
In his inimitable style, Rabbi Lew spoke about the deep sensitivity of the Rebbe and the great heart that can be taken from the way young people continue to follow in the paths laid out by the Rebbe.
Campers of both divisions were uplifted and inspired from an absorbing and comprehensive Gimmel Tammuz program.
