A new children’s clothing store will be opening in Miami next week, offering stylish and updated fashions to families in Miami and the surrounding areas.
Devorah Shagalov, who is known for her smiling care for customers for the past 18 years in Crown Heights Hosiery shop on Kingston Avenue, has relocated to Miami from New York, but she is bringing her love of children’s fashion with her.
“It’s always been my dream to have my own shop,” Shagalov told COLlive. “But I never wanted it to be like all the other places around, I want it to be unique in that we cater to all families and children of all ages,” she says.
Shagalov has spent the last few months creating her new, modern children’s boutique, which will be called “Prim ‘N Proper,” a nod to Shagalov’s British roots.
It will be unique, Shagalov says, in that it will cater to everyone – carrying all types of clothing for both boys and girls, size 6 months to 14/16.
“In our shop, a child can be outfitted from head to toe,” Shagalov says. “From tops, to pants and skirts, socks and even shoes and headbands,” she says. “I just can’t imagine anyone coming in and not finding something to buy,” she says.
For the opening, the store has stocked bathing suits, water shoes, and comfortable summer clothing, as well as updated and stylish back-to-school clothing.
All the products are of top quality cotton, organic cotton and linen, Shagalov says. She carries both casual and Shabbos wear, such as pretty cotton dresses for girls and linen pants for boys.
“We carry items in all price ranges, so even if you have a few children you need to buy clothing for, you can find something affordable,” Shagalov says.
A section in the store is set aside for all Judaica clothing items such as Tztizis, yarmulkas, and more.
Shagalov is looking forward to welcoming customers who know her from her many years serving and getting to know her clientele in the Crown Heights shop.
“We are the only ‘head to toe’ children’s clothing shop near here, so we expect people to come from miles around in the whole Miami Beach area,” she says.
The shop is located in Bay Harbor Island, a few minutes from Bal Harbour and accessible to Surfside, Bay Harbour, Bal Harbour and Miami Beach. Ample parking available in the back of the store.
The store will hold a grand opening on Sunday, August 9th from 11 am – 5 pm and Mezuzah hanging at 1 PM.
