Machon Chana students showed their appreciation to the women of Crown Heights who open their homes to them throughout the year for Shabbos and Yom Tov meals on Monday.
The annual Hostess Appreciation Evening was held at the Machon Chana dormitory and featured desserts prepared by the students.
Laila Tassano, a Machon Chana student from San Paulo, Brazil, shared with the hostesses how much it means to the students when they share their homes, hearts and families with them.
Nava Rivka Farrache, also from San Paulo (who sang at the Shabbos session of this year’s N’Shei convention), entertained the guests with a number of beautiful songs.
Adina Adry, a Machon Chana alumnus who is herself now a hostess for students, spoke on behalf of the hostesses.
Rabbi Shloma Majeski, dean of Machon Chana, expressed the gratitude of the entire staff to the hostesses.
