Simply untrue. Even with vehicular traffic it is not near 600,000.

Why not just make an eruv in CH?

If you consider vehicular traffic it is quite valid

your comment is ridiculous. An Eiruv is a mitzvah drabbanan. Every chabad camp has an eruv. Every bungalow colony. Kfar chabad….
The reason for the sign is ISRAELIS are used to an eruv so they don’t realize. That’s all.
Gut Moed!

Can you show me where in halachah a posek claims that if there is an issue of tzinus you can’t make an eruv. This argument is pure Apikursos.

Eastern Parkway has nowhere near 600,000 people, so what are talking about?

And there is a famous answer to Rabbi Zinner allowing an eruv.

“There will never be a chabad eruv, there might be a modern othrodox or reform eruv but not a chabad one.”
I believe that you are the one who is reforming Yiddishkeit

Not true

“there wont be one because the Rebbe was against it”
Simply untrue

17 long years home
October 3, 2012 1:38 am

I live in Sydney where the Eruv is relitively recent. I spent 17 years of long shabbossim stuck at home. I see the young families out now on shabbos afternoon enjoying the park, I see young moms carrying salads to friends on Shabbos morning for a shared lunch…… those people who chose not to use it don’t have to. Let those who do not want to go crazy at home in a small appartment go out with their kids who are really not enjoying being cooped up.

What about the other six days of the week? We need another plan. LOL

# 17 Yerushalayim is holier than today's CH & we have an eruv
October 1, 2012 1:09 pm

And guess what?
The Chabad ladies here are completely tznius not like CH.

what is he thinking?
September 30, 2012 8:38 pm

busy with their babies like they are meant to be? I see, so basically, #17, you feel that only the ‘prost’ MALES should be allowed outside on shabbos. Well, personally, I would LOVE to see you spend your shabbos morning taking care of ‘the babies’ instead of shmoozing and farbranging (read drinking) cause you can get out easier….part of your job description, so you think..

never a eruv in ch
September 30, 2012 11:50 am

Ch will be holier with no eruv. It will keep those un tznios woman at home busy w their babies like they are meant to be!

# 4 Kfar Chabad has an eruv
September 30, 2012 7:28 am

So much for yor ignorance about there being no Chabad eruvim.
Also Miami Beach,North Miam Beach Beach,Boca Raton & Fort Lauderdale have an eruv & are used by Anash!
Monsey as well & many other places too numerous to mention.

Who says Chabad never uses an eruv?
September 30, 2012 4:51 am

In Eretz Yisroel we do!!!!!!
Outside of NYC many do!!!!!!
The reason for no eruv in CH is because of the ammount of traffic on Eastern Parkway which makes it reshus harabim which can not have an eruv, only a karmelis or a reshus hayachid can have an eruv.
Also see Igrois Moishe where Rav Moishe Feinstein,ZT”L came against eruvim in Brooklyn.

I’m not familiar with the Rebbes view on Eruvin, I just have a few simple questions to those that scream in the name of the Rebbe 1. Is it black and white NO in all circumstances. 2. If people are having Goyim push carriages ( very common ) why not at least have them use a Eruv, even if it’s not Mehudar like the Alter rebbes Shita. 3. Just because someone is very Frum, and they won’t use it, how much Chillul Shabbos will be avoided while having it,thus preventing a Issur D’Orayso!!! 4. These Rebbe screamers, do they do… Read more »

September 30, 2012 1:21 am

#4, what exactly is a ‘modern orthodox eruv’? are you saying that whoever doesn’t hold ‘Chabad shitta’ is doing things against halacha?

oh, and what exactly is a ‘reform eruv’?

Eruv
September 30, 2012 12:04 am

Should have been a yellow sign instead of red…….

TIME FOR AN ERUV!!!!
September 29, 2012 11:45 pm

I saw 3 separate woman today with their cleaners pushing their babys for them this morning! is this better then an having an Eruv?

Are you ignorant, or just acting that way? There is a famous strong answer to the Melbourne community about eruv

I wish!
September 29, 2012 9:57 pm

I wish thre here was an eruv!

Rumours
September 29, 2012 9:07 pm

The reason for this sign is due to false rumours. I was told that the rumours that CH already has an eruv is FALSE. There rumours need to stop! There is no “secret” or “unofficial” eruv in CH!!

The rebbe didnt want it???????
September 29, 2012 7:56 pm

There is NO proof of this and I have seen a letter from the rebbe praising the people who put up an eruv

Don't get it...
September 29, 2012 4:06 pm

The we want an eruv brigade don’t care about yiddishkeit anyway… Why would they want an eruv? Just carry. No-one cares about anything in CH anymore…

Good.
September 29, 2012 4:06 pm

There will never be a chabad eruv, there might be a modern othrodox or reform eruv but not a chabad one.
