The annual Simchas Beis Hashoeva, held at the Shikun Chabad neighborhood in Jerusalem, was significantly enhanced this year. Thousands of celebrants from across the country participated in the event organized by the Lubavitch Youth Organization (Tzach) of Jerusalem.
On a beautifully decorated stage, singers Moti Goldman, Avraham Mushkowitz, and Yossele Krishbesky brought the joy of the holiday to the masses. Along with the world-renowned cantor Binyomin Helfgot, the crowd sang and danced for many hours, accompanied by keyboardist R’ Avraham Cohen and his orchestra.
In the background, video clips of the Rebbe encouraging joy were displayed on a large screen, contributing to the unique festive atmosphere.
Rabbi Naftali Rot opened the event with heartfelt words. He welcomed the audience with a special blessing and invited the general public to join the circles of joy. In his speech, he combined and emphasized the value, significance, and importance of joy.
Activist Rabbi Yaakov Halperin blessed the participants and thanked the Jerusalem Municipality and the Department of Torah Culture for their assistance and funding in making the event a success.
The event included performances by Chassidic dancers from “The Hop Cossack” and a spectacular performance by the Jerusalem dancer R’ Meir Leibel, featuring impressive fire juggling, a reminder of the Beis Hamikdash. Due to the current war, the use of fireworks was prohibited; instead, a colorful and dazzling confetti show was incorporated, giving the event a unique and exciting atmosphere.
In the midst of the event, twelve children from the “Tzivos Hashem” took the stage one after the other to recite twelve verses and pray for the rescue of the captives and the success of the security forces.
The event was executed and produced by the Jerusalem activist Rabbi Shlomo Shochat, who invested all his energy into its success, alongside the CEO of Tzach in Jerusalem, Rabbi Noam Rot, and Rabbi Yisrael Cohen from the management of the Torah Emes institutions in Jerusalem.
