The Chabad community and yeshiva in S. Paulo, Brazil, has once again enjoyed a week-long retreat as a preparation for Shavuos and the giving of the Torah.
The retreat, now in its 12th year, is led by Rabbi Shamai Ende, and brings together Lubavitch families, the rabbis of Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch Ohel Menachem and its bochurim.
“We had over 200 people from all segments of the Jewish community that joined us for this special trip,” said the coordinator Rabbi Mendy Koncepolski, who directs the yeshiva.
Various Shiurim were given throughout the yomtov days and Shabbos, with the davening and meals filled with joy and song.
Participants also enjoyed the magnificent scenery and recreational activities that were made available, including swimming, kayaking, horse back riding, tennis, baseball, and football.
Many were often seen discussing Torah topics with the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Ende or asking halachic questions, giving them direction for the months ahead.
