Chaya Mushka Ruchamkin, daughter of a Chabad family in the Israeli city of Beitar Illit near Jerusalem, has passed away Sunday, Adar 9, 5771.
She was 18 years old.
A few months ago she was diagnosed with ‘yene machla’ (cancer) and was hospitalized in a few medical centers which tried to treat her.
This past Chof Beis Shvat, a Tanya was even printed in her hospital room dedicated to her recovery.
“She was such a special person,” one of her friends told COLlive.com. “She was a top student in school, a yaras shamaim, very dignified, and we just celebrated her birthday.”
Ruchamkin is survived by her parents Meir and Sura Shoshana Ruchamkin, siblings, and grandparents.

chami,as she liked to be called was an extrodinary girl. i dont think i have ever heard her say a bad thing about anyone else. her words were measered and she spoke a lot about the rebbe. she was always kind to those around her.
i want poeple to know and learn from her good middos and take that as an inspiration.
she was a very special girl, i will miss her.

this is a real tradegy to our school. everyone was crying when they heard of her passing even the girls who didnt know her. the school will never be the same after this tragedy, we will forever fill the void she left in our school.
