On Tes Adar – the day the Frierdiker Rebbe came to America, and said “America iz nisht andersh” – the Talmidim HaShluchim of Chovevei Torah Mesivta announced the upcoming, exciting Mivtza.
The Mivtza, which was in honor of 11 Nissan – The Rebbe’s 107th Yom Huledes – was to learn the “Seder Hanhoga L’Talmidim” which has special meaning for our Talmidim, as it was written by the Menahel of our Yeshiva, HaRav HaGaon R’ Yitzchak Dov Ushpol z”l. Being edited by the Rebbe, it only emphasizes the significance of learning this booklet and following what it entails, for the day-to-day conduct and behavior of a Tomim.
The program was also an opportunity to reward the bochrim who participated in the Shabbos Hachana for Yud Shevat at the Ohel, and really inspired those around them, showing how to be a true Tomim. There was a special souvenir: Every bochur received Mashke from the Rebbe, which had come from the Rebbe’s therapist, and a beautifully framed photo of the Rebbe. The Shluchim pointed out that it was indeed already a nice beginning to the new Mivtza, as their “Hanhoga” then truly was remarkable. They also assured all, that there would be many such incentives, as had been in the past as well.
The Menahel Rabbi Menachem Minsky, alongside the Shluchim, stressed the idea of learning and getting tested on such important material, as it brings out the point of “Bchol D’rachecha Da’Eihu” –how one acts as a Tomim throughout his daily activities, sports and learning alike, with Midos Tovos and Chassidishe Ahavas Yisroel. Every bochur will receive the kovetz, one which isn’t in print today. When tested, everyone will receive a gift, and there will be larger prizes as well.
Afterwards, the entire yeshiva was treated to a special Tes Adar farbrengen, with R’ Betzalel Rotter. Complete with interesting stories and hora’os, the talmidim got a “taste” of what it was like, as a bochur in the times of the Frierdiker Rebbe and the early years of our Rebbe’s Nesius. In his own unique way, R’ Betzalel told us how we should be Mekushar and follow the Rebbe’s wishes.
The feedback from the Talmidim, was heard right after the farbrengen. With renewed chayus and spirit, they are ready to take on the new Mivtza with a shturem!
go moshe nice to see you
