Since its opening a few years ago, Chocolatte Espresso bar on the corner of Eastern Parkway and Kingston Avenue has become an icon of Crown Heights thanks to its prime location and great selection of drinks and pastries.
The store recently launched a new and exciting addition to its menu; a malawach bar set up on a mobile cart outside the store.
A feature of Yemenite cuisine, malawach is a type of flaky, layered bread that is cooked on a grill until it is crispy and then flavored with an assortment of fillings. It has become extremely popular in Israel and anyone looking for a taste of Ben Yehuda will appreciate this new addition to the neighborhood scene.
The bar will offer different styles of malawach, from traditional to spicy Mexican as well as a selection of sweeter options. It is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day with later hours on Motzei Shabbos.
Very unique and delicious, good luck.
Looks delicious
Very nice price 7.70
Is it mezonos or hamotzi?
Any Mashgiach? Hechsher?
This is a Jewish community, BTW
Can you see the sticker behind the guy that says CHK. Why would Chocolatte put this right next to their coffee shop if it wasn’t kosher??
There’s a chk poster on the back wall.
🤷🏻‍♂️
Is it kosher?
Under what Hechsher?
It’s Chocolatte so it’s the same hechsher as Chocolatte, CHK.
And hechsher please? Very excited
