Delegation of Rabbonim Visits Chabad Yeshiva of Vienna

A delegation of esteemed rabbonim from Israel and Europe visited the Tomchei Temimim Yeshiva in Vienna, Austria.

The following prominent rabbonim were among them: Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Dovid Lau; founder of the outreach organization Hidabroot, Rabbi Zamir Cohen; Head of the Antwerp Beis Din, Rabbi Aaron Schiff; the Rebbe’s shliach to and head rabbi of Holland, Rabbi Binyomin Jacobs; Dayan of “Shomrei Hadass” of Antwerp, Rabbi Yaakov Dovid Shmahl; and members of the Vienna Beis Din, Rabbi Yosef Pardes and Rabbi Yaakov Hotoveli.

Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Chaim Fieldsteel, and Vienna shluchim Rabbi Yaakov Biderman and Rabbi Yisrael Netanelov, welcomed the guests and introduced them to the temimim. The delegation was led by Rabbi Aryeh Goldberg, Director-General of the Rabbinical Center of Europe (RCE).

Rabbi Lau and Rabbi Cohen both shared a few words with the bochurim. In response to Rabbi Lau exhorting the temimim to complete the study of the maseches, Rabbi Fieldsteel shared that indeed the temimim had taken it upon themselves to learn the whole maseches. He added that every boy who successfully gets tested on the entire masechta, will earn a special trip to Eretz Yisrael. On that trip they will be tested by a number of eminent rabbanim. Impressed, Rabbi Lau accepted the request and asserted that they are invited to visit him to be tested.

All of the rabbanim spoke in learning with the temimim and were deeply impressed with the knowledge displayed.
