Following a great Tzivos Hashem children’s rally in honor of 11 Nissan – the Rebbe’s 110th birthday, children from Albany, NY and neighboring towns joined a dynamic Pesach Rally on Tuesday – Chai Nissan the birthday of Reb Levik and the Bris Milah of the Rebbe.
This special gathering was in memory of Hatomim Yosef Yitzchak a”h ben Tzvi Zev Zaklas and organized and directed by Mordechai Rubin.
As the Rebbe instructed the rally began with Torah – the recitation of the 12 Pesukim, Tzedakah and then Tefilah – Tehilim for the safety and health of all Jews around the world, specifically in Eretz Yisroel.
Afterwards all the children joined together and cried out to Hashem to send Moshiach immediately – “Ad Mosai!” Continuing with joyous Nigguim– ‘”We want Moshiach now!,” “Mimitzraim..” and “Sheyibone beis Hamikdash.”
Afterwards, the room was silent, with the children at the edges of their seats, as all were treated to a great story told by Yaakov Backman, about the Tzemach Tzedek’s advice to Russian soldiers around Pesach time.
Then, Brachos were said on Pesach refreshments that were served along with grape juice – L’chaims!
Throughout the program children earned special Pesach treats and raffle tickets for a Grand Raffle for a brand new bike!
“Drum roll please!”, the winning ticket is about to be drawn…
To everyone’s excitement, Mara Dunn won her own Mitzvah bike! Her sister Nechama won the Grand Raffle at the rally this past Sukkos, and at this rally, “Mara really deserved it, with her excitement during the songs and Pesukim,” said Mordechai Rubin.
It is already tradition at the children’s rallies in Albany that a special educational Pesach game is played, known as the “Grand Jewish Bingo Game.” Rivky Cohen from Manchester, England visiting for Yom Tov, was the winner!
This rally was one of the many Peulos and mivtzoim that children and bochurim did during Pesach in Albany, a ‘Pesach Mivtzoim Report’ was published to keep some of the ‘precious pesach moments’ all year round.
The Report features many pictures of children on Mivtza Matzah and also a Celebration of the Rebbe’s 110th birthday at the New York State Capitol – including excerpts from the speeches of Rabbi Yisroel Rubin, Shliach to Albany and the speaker of the NYS Assembly – Sheldon Silver.
