In today’s world, where technology often overwhelms teens and disconnects them from real life, Cheder Chabad Florida’s High School offers something rare and refreshing: a space free of smartphones, WhatsApp, and social media. It’s not just about filters, it’s about creating an environment where girls can grow with clarity, build real friendships, and stay focused during their most formative years.
Under the leadership of Morah Chaya Matusof as Principal, the High School is entering its third year, now extending through 11th grade with exciting new developments. As part of this growth, Cheder is expanding its leadership team with three new roles to better support the students. Morah Malky Itkin, known for her dedication and warm approach, will now serve as Assistant Principal, working closely with the girls and staff to strengthen both academics and student life.
Morah Risa Bursk, who coordinated this year’s programming, will take on the role of Director of Student Life and Operations, overseeing daily programming, admissions, and extracurricular activities. Morah Rivka Rotenstreich, a beloved teacher, will also serve as High School Mechaneches, providing personal guidance and support to each student alongside her teaching.
With a rigorous, high-level curriculum that instills a deep love for Torah and Chassidus, our students are inspired to live as proud Lubavitcher Chassidim, deeply connected to the Rebbe.
This year will also see a vibrant expansion of student programs. In addition to meaningful Shabbatons, Farbrengens, and special events, students participating in the Achos HaTemimim and Nosim L’Rebbe programs will have the opportunity to earn a collective school trip to Eretz Yisroel.
The school’s beautiful new campus, with expansive outdoor areas perfect for Florida’s weather, provides students with opportunities for sports, PE, and outdoor activities, contributing to a healthy and well-rounded experience. Cheder also offers a small, warm dormitory with limited space, located in the heart of Boca Raton’s thriving Yiddishe community, led by Mrs. Shira Wajsbort as Dorm Mother.
