As New York City continues to see downward trends in the three key indicators the city is tracking with regards to the coronavirus pandemic, Mayor Bill de Blasio is focusing on the areas that still need help.
Both Governor Cuomo and Mayor Deblasio are estimating that June is a possibility for when the city may reopen.
Until then, in order to clean the streets which have not been cleaned for nearly 2 months now, the Mayor announced that alternate side parking will resume for one week, beginning Monday, May 18th, and lasting through May 24th.
This is being done to give a clean sweep to the city’s streets, de Blasio noting that litter has been building up in some areas.
Alternate side parking will be suspended again beginning May 25th until June 7th.
Crown Heights Chaverim are reminding residents to start and/or move their cars before Monday, and not wait for the last minute to try and start their cars when they need to move them.
“Some people haven’t moved their cars in weeks,” a Chaverim volunteer told COLlive. “Anyone whose car will not start and needs a boost, should call Chaverim, and we will be happy to help. We are reminding people to check before Monday, so that they are prepared for moving their car when needed.”
For a car boost or any other help, call Crown Heights Chaverim at 718 222 1800.
They are going to clean streets they will be busy giving car tickets for a week.
They will probably be giving tickets to every car on the street that is not moved a minute after the start of alternate side parking, and they will try to catch up on all the “missed tickets” from the past 2 months… If ColLive can please post a reminder article Monday morning, for all those that may forget, this reminder can help a lot of people not get a ticket, Thanks.
I noticed the city did not put up any signs about it. Hopefully they will asap. Many people do not look online. And then bam ticketing will begin
I am a Bubbie who has called on them to help me several times – They always help out with a smile 😁
