Chava Leah Edelman, a beloved mother and dedicated Shlucha, passed away on Shabbos, 15 Av, 5785.
She was 41.
Chava led The Shul in Bayside, Wisconsin, in partnership with her husband, Rabbi Cheski Edelman, with boundless wisdom, warmth, and her signature steady hand. Her commitment to her mission, her Shlichus, and the vision of the Rebbe, and her belief in every person’s potential, was unwavering. Her life of devotion to Yiddishkeit, family, and community will continue to shape and inspire all who were blessed to know her.
Chava is survived by her husband, Rabbi Cheski, and her children, Sender, Rosie, Fishel, Fayga, and Mushka.
She is also survived by her parents Rabbi Avraham and Shprintza Kavka of Seattle WA, her siblings, Chaya Esther Kagan, Sender Kavka, Sarah Sampson, Moishe Kavka, Shmueli Kavka, Chani Ross, Zalmy Kavka, Naomi Deitsch and her extended family, her Shul community, and the entire Milwaukee Jewish community. United in their mission, her fellow Shluchos and their husbands, the Shluchim, are themselves a deep-knit community, and her loss is one of profound sorrow.
Levaya right near the Ohel is anticipated Sunday at around 4:30PM. (Funeral will not pass 770).
Shiva: 1355 President St. till Tuesday after Shacharis, rest of Shiva will be held in Milwaukee WI.
