Aleph Institute Chaplain and Air Force Captain Rabbi Elie Estrin organized Chanukah festivities for Jewish personnel serving in the U.S. Armed Forces at six domestic army bases, including U.S. Southern Command in Doral, Florida, where personnel and family members attended a menorah lighting replete with donuts, dreidels and menorahs.
Rabbi Estrin is the Aleph Institute’s Military Personnel Liaison and is an Aleph Institute ecclesiastically-endorsed U.S. Air Force Reserve Captain Chaplain, serving the 42nd Air Base Wing at Maxwell Air Force Base, in Alabama. Rabbi Estrin is the Aleph Institute’s point-of-contact for every Jew in the U.S. Armed Forces to provide spiritual and practical support, and religious materials supplied through the Aleph Institute.
“With a very limited number of Rabbis to serve and support Jewish members of the Armed Forces, Aleph’s military program ensures they have everything they need to exercise and practice their religion,” said Rabbi Estrin, “and Aleph’s support for bases that do not have a chaplain is crucial.”
Rabbi Estrin is the ultimate role model of what it means to be a chossid and shliach. Of him you can say es gait a chossid….Keep up the amazing work in your new position. M’chayil el choyil
Rabbi Estrin is real.
