Bais Rivkah Day Camp Staff:
After seven weeks of Bais Rivkah Day Camp, packed with exciting trips, fun activities, drama, and Yiddishe, chassidishe growth and joy, over 80 pioneer campers came to Bais Rivkah on Tuesday, 3rd of Elul, for a Challah Bake together with their mothers or other adult relative or friend, and camp staff.
Author and publisher, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Devorah Leah Rosenfeld addressed participants, as the girls “took challah,” one of the three mitzvos of women, some for the very first time. Mrs. Rosenfeld described what is accomplished by taking challah in a practical way.
A carefully chosen letter of the Rebbe was read and appreciated by the crowd.
An interactive game was played to see if the mothers and daughters really know each other, adding to the fun atmosphere.
Campers, parents and staff would like to thank Rabbi Benji Stock of Bais Rivkah for a safe, joyful and successful season, as well as those who made this summer such a success: Mrs. Chaya Deitsch, Mrs. Aidela Rabiski, Mrs. Chaya Chazan, Mrs. Malka Borisute, Mrs. Shaindy Gluck, Mushky Chayempour, Mushky Spiero, Chaya Levertov, Sara Schmukler, Mushka Cohen and Sara Basya Lezak.
Here are but two of the many emails that arrived in the camp office after the Pioneer Challah Bake was over:
Dear organizers, I hope you had a lot of nachas from tonight’s event. Seeing all the girls so chatty and happy kneading their dough totally made me smile. I could totally picture the Rebbe looking at that room with nachas. My favorite part was listening to my daughter read the letter from the Rebbe about the book Woman of Valor (which my husband showed me that we have)! I am totally motivated to read it now that there are such rave reviews about it from the Rebbe. The refreshments were perfect actually, with everyone munching happily. The tables looked beautiful. Really fancy. And well organized. People were very serious about their recipes and measuring. Adorable. The game was a fun addition and definitely added to the event. Smart idea.

Dear Chaya, Mushka & Mushky. What a beautiful meaningful fun evening we all enjoyed! The amount of work you all put in to making this evening a success is mind-boggling. It was well organized and well presented. Making challah is such an important experience for the girls to have and hopefully the positive feeling everyone gained from this evening will stay with them all, to influence their decision to make challah as wives and mothers, and the zechus will be yours! Thank you for an amazing month of fun and positive experiences.

As the Rebbe told us, a good camp experience gives chayus for the whole year. We look forward to having much continued and growing nachas from our pioneers!
Nice delicious the main thing is you all had a great time and that’s the most important thing
I take my hat off to Mrs. Deitsch. She did such a fabulous job, i’ve had daughters in pioneers in the past, this year was something special. The chassidishkeit, the tzniyus while having a blast! Thank you so much Mrs. Deitsch!
