Hatomim Chaim “Jaime” Lipszyc a shochet who lived in Postville for many years, passed away suddenly on Friday, August 1, 2014, 5 Av 5774.
He was 50.
Originally from Brazil, Chaim learned in Tomchei Temimim Ocean Parkway Yeshiva. He was a shliach as a talmid in Yeshivas Ohr Elchanan Chabad Los Angeles and he learned in the main yeshiva 770.
Chaim was a mashgiach for many years at Agriprocessors in Postville, Iowa. Most recently he was shechting in the Midwest for AER Services.
He is survived by his brother Gershon of S. Paulo Brazil and family and cousins.
The Levaya will be passing 770 tomorrow, August 4th, 8 Menachem Av at approximately 3:30 p.m.
Burial will follow at the Old Montefiore Cemetery in Cambria Heights, NY, in proximity to the Ohel.

Chaim Leib Arieh was a close friend of mine, regardless of how long it had been since we had been apart we always caught up as if we had last met earlier that day. Never did Chaim miss a chance to help and cheer someone else. I am numb! He was a wonderful person, with a heart of Gold. Lipshoca, you were a good friend in difficult times, and a rock to be leaned on when needed. Chaim, who was lively and enthusiastic was a shliach for two years in Caracas. He inspired many youth to grow in their yiddishkeit. He learned in L.A. as a talmid but shlichus was in Caracas. May he he be a meilitz yosher!

Chaim was a nice special yid. I spent many years with him in Postville and we kept in touch for the past 7 years after I left Iowa. He always had a smile on his face. May his family only hear of simchos.
When I was a kid chaim ate many times at my house on shabbos and Yom tov, he was the nicest, kindest, and most courteous Man I ever knew.
