As has become an annual tradition, this year, once again, a Chabad delegation presented “Shmura Matzah” to Israeli President Isaac Herzog in honor of the upcoming Pesach holiday.
Following the custom observed each year, President Herzog received the delegation with warmth and hospitality, as they brought him a trio of Shmura Matzot, which are traditionally used for the Passover Seder.
The delegation was led by Rabbi Yaakov Gloiberman, accompanied by his son Rabbi Betzalel, Rabbi Zalman Wolff, and Menny Wolff, a young Chabad student. The president warmly welcomed them, expressed interest in the activities of Chabad worldwide, and raised a “L’Chaim” in honor of the Rebbe’s birthday, which coincided with the day of the visit. He also extended a blessing for a “kosher and joyful Passover” to the members of the delegation and asked them to convey his greetings to Chabad Chassidim and Shluchim around the globe.
Rabbi Yaakov Gloiberman also presented the president with a special edition of the Rebbe’s Haggadah, a meaningful gift for the occasion. In addition, the president received a package containing the Kfar Chabad Magazine set, which included a copy of the Passover Haggadah, prepared by Rabbi Avraham Wolff, a Chabad Shliach and the rabbi of Odessa.
The exchange, rich in warmth and Jewish tradition, was a meaningful moment for all involved, further strengthening the bond between Chabad and the State of Israel.
