The Congregation B’nai Avraham – Chabad of Brooklyn Heights annual dinner, held on Rosh Chodesh Sivan, was a great success with lots of attendees, relatives, and friends.
The evening was held in the Feil Hall at the Brooklyn Law School with a gorgeous view of the Piers and Manhattan.
The woman of the year award was given to Ellen Kamaras. Man of the year award was given to Harry Klug. Couple of the year award was given to Ellie and Daniel Stone.
Stephen Rosen gave the opening remarks as the Congregation B’nai Avraham president.
Rabbi Aaron L. Raskin of the Chabad of Brooklyn Heights, gave a moving D’var Torah and the dinner concluded with a fancy dessert buffet that was irresistible which featured deep-fried Oreos.
Rabbi Raskin spoke about the ironic history of how little support they had when the idea of opening an Orthodox Shul, a Jewish preschool, not to mention an elementary school. All of which are a true successful thriving reality today in Congregation B’nai Avraham in collaboration with the Chabad of Brooklyn Heights.
Over 300 people attended this year’s CBA dinner, a true receipt of the successful venture President Rosen and Rabbi Raskin set out to achieve. The unity and support were felt all over the grand hall with large windows facing the Lady of Liberty pointing her hand up in CBA’s triumph.
