Chabad Giving Day 3 Registration Opens with Over 300 Shluchim

The year following Shemita is a propitious one, for it is the year of Hakhel, when the entirety of the Jewish Nation – men, women, and children – would gather and unite as one in the Bais Hamikdash for Hakhel. Yes, this year is Shnas Hakhel, a Year of Gathering.

For Chabad, Hakhel is the most natural thing. Every Shliach everywhere wakes up every morning with one mission: to gather and unite every Jew – men, women, and children – together as one.

This year is also the third year of the Chabad Global Giving Day. Our Sages teach us that the third occurrence of an event creates a chazakah, an established precedent.

Hakhel. Global giving. Chazaka. Unity. This is a Divinely inspired and opportune time to gather and unite the Jewish People in a global crowdfunding effort to illuminate the world!

And thus, IGNIT3 LIGHT is born. Igniting and lighting up the four corners of the world, one Shliach, one Neshama, one Jew at a time!

It is Charidy’s honor and privilege to organize and coordinate this world-changing campaign to assist every Shliach who is igniting and lighting up the four corners of the world. Throughout the month of December, every Shliach has the opportunity, for a mere $180, to have his organization join and access Charidy’s platform, resources and deliverables, support and talented team of fundraising specialists and marketing strategists. In addition, there will be special raffles held throughout the month.

In honor of this auspicious event, and to further fuel the eternal flame, a group of generous philanthropists have designated hundreds of thousands of dollars in grant funds for distribution to eligible campaigns. Beginning December 12th, for every donation an organization receives online, it will receive an additional ten percent through this grant until the grant funds are exhausted, with a maximum of $80 per donation and $3,000 total per organization. There will be full transparency throughout the campaign of all funds raised, allowing everyone to see exactly where every organization stands and what it has achieved.
