CGI United, a Chabad girls’ camp established five years ago, is excited to share some exciting updates as it gears up for Summer 2025 in Bushkill, Pennsylvania.
Established during the uncertainty of the Covid-19 pandemic, CGI United offered girls a much-needed opportunity for connection and growth.
Since then, it has quickly become known for its top-notch programming, chassidishe atmosphere, and warm, attentive environment. The camp has built a reputation for fostering happy, vibrant energy and supporting each camper’s personal and spiritual growth.
This year, CGI United is proud to welcome new leadership as it continues to grow and enhance its offerings. Rabbi Mendel and Liba Azimov (née Wolowik) have been named Camp Directors, and Mrs. Tzippy Piekarski joins as Camp Mother.
Meet the New Team
Rabbi Mendel Azimov brings a wealth of experience in camp leadership. With multiple years as head counselor at CGI Detroit, he has played a pivotal role in shaping impactful summer experiences for hundreds of campers. Mendel also directed the extensive Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim operations – overseeing the convention for hundreds of boys and girls – as well as leading the Tzeirei Hashluchim Winter Camp in Florida. He also has considerable experience handling logistics and planning for well-known programs like Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim and Or Vechom.
Mrs. Liba Azimov, a seasoned leader in youth programming, has spent years inspiring and guiding young people. From her role as Program Director at Magen Israel Elementary School to her time as a dorm counselor at Bais Rivkah, she has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to nurturing growth. Liba’s background includes years of special education experience with Hamaspik Schools for Down Syndrome, extensive involvement with Friendship Circle, and leadership roles in numerous Chabad day camps. Additionally, she served as Head Counselor for the Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchos and was a staff member in camps like Pardas Chana and CGI Detroit.
Mrs. Tzippy Piekarski, stepping into the role of Camp Mother, brings decades of teaching and mentorship experience to the team. Known for her ability to foster meaningful connections and inspire others, Mrs. Piekarski views camp as an opportunity to help others grow, build meaningful relationships and inspire a love for Yiddishkeit in a fun and dynamic way. As an educator and coach, she has dedicated her life to helping individuals connect to Torah, Chassidus, making it feel alive, personal and relevant.
Exciting Growth and New Initiatives
The newly created Board of CGI United, comprising Rabbi Sholom Goldstein, Dovid Junik, Mendel Mangel, and Chaim Piekarski, is excited to announce transformative changes to meet the growing needs of the community.
To meet the growing demand, CGI United is expanding its capacity to accommodate 500 campers, allowing even more girls to benefit from the camp’s unique and uplifting atmosphere.
Additionally, recognizing the financial challenges many families face, the camp has also reduced its tuition to $1,800 per session, ensuring that the experience remains accessible to all.
Finally, girls will now have the opportunity to attend for two full months, giving them more time to connect, grow, and create meaningful memories.
“This expansion is about more than just numbers,” shared Chaim Piekarski, a member of the camp’s board. “We want every girl who comes to CGI United to feel at home and have an unforgettable experience. By growing our capacity and making camp more affordable, we’re making it possible for more families to share in the beauty and inspiration that every girl deserves.”
With the added capacity, CGI United is committed to maintaining its warm and personal atmosphere. By organizing the camp into smaller divisions, each with dedicated head staff, they plan to ensure that every camper continues to feel seen, valued, and part of something special.
Staff Registration
With the Head staff being announced shortly, and regular staff registration beginning tomorrow, anticipation is already building for another unforgettable summer.
Staff at CGI United can expect the stellar experience the camp is known for—one that prioritizes their growth, camaraderie, and overall enjoyment. In addition to creating an incredible summer for the campers, staff members will benefit from their own dedicated programming, activities, and opportunities for fun, ensuring their summer is enriching and enjoyable.
With its strong leadership, innovative vision, and focus on creating a joyous, uplifting space for every camper, CGI United is set to make Summer 2025 its best yet.
Stay tuned for more updates and get ready for a summer of connection, inspiration, and unforgettable memories at CGI United.
