Shmulik Kravitsky, principal of Sky2000 Travel agency in New York, recently visited the holy land of Israel and held a string of meetings with executives of the travel and tourists industries.
One of those meetings was with Dina Ben Tal Ganancia, Chief Executive Officer of EL AL, Israel’s flag carrier.
“This meeting was part of a series of brainstorming meetings I held with Israeli travel leaders on improving the travel experience of the frum traveler expected to visit Israel this upcoming summer,” Kravitsky told COLlive.com.
As a Lubavitcher chossid, Kravitsky used the opportunity to introduce to Ganancia the famous recommendation of the Rebbe to have a tzedaka box at the workplace.
“The idea is to start each business day by thinking of the less fortunate by putting a coin in the pushka,” he said, presenting Ganancia with a box.
Ganancia appreciated the concept, as well as the beautiful personalized pushka. She urged her assistant to make sure that every business day starts with this beautiful gesture, Kravitsky said.
