Hamas terrorists resumed their war against Israel this weekend in Gaza with repeated ceasefire violations.
By 12 noon Sunday, two serious incidents had taken place.
The first incident involved an explosion in an IDF engineering vehicle working in the southern Gaza city of Rafah. According to Israel’s Channel 14 News military correspondent Hillel Biton Rosen, it is believed “terrorists fired anti-tank missiles” at the vehicle, “or detonated an explosive device.”
A second incident followed, with suspected sniper fire directed at another IDF engineering vehicle in the same area.
At the same time, Israeli forces eliminated two terrorists who attempted to cross the “Yellow Line” in the northern Gaza city of Jabalya. The Yellow Line marks the boundaries of the buffer zone where Israeli forces deployed following the “ceasefire agreement.”
Following the above incidents, Israeli forces carried out an airstrike to eliminate the terrorist targets from the air.
More terrorists subsequently opened fire at an Israeli soldier in Rafah; IDF troops returned fire and Israeli Navy vessels opened fire at the Rafah coastline as well, Arab media reported.
Defense Minister Israel Katz and the Prime Minister’s Military Secretary left the weekly cabinet meeting to conduct a security assessment in light of the attacks.
National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to resume full military operations in Gaza in response to the repeated ceasefire violations by Hamas.
“I call on the Prime Minister to order the IDF to fully resume the fighting in the Gaza Strip at full strength,” Ben-Gvir said.
“The false imaginations that Hamas will turn its back, or even abide by the agreement it signed, are turning out to be dangerous to our security, as expected.”
Terror Cells Using Tunnels to Attack IDF
On Friday, the IDF carried out an airstrike against a group of terrorists who emerged from a tunnel and approached Israeli forces in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis. The IDF said the terrorists posed an imminent threat to the troops and were targeted in accordance with the terms of the Trump Plan for Gaza.
A second, similar incident took place the same day, with terrorists emerging from a tunnel in Rafah and firing at Israeli forces.
“In Khan Younis, several terrorists were identified emerging from a tunnel shaft in the southern city and approached the forces in a manner that posed an immediate threat. The terrorists were struck from the air to remove the threat, in accordance with the agreement,” the IDF spokesperson said.
Earlier on Friday, the IDF targeted a suspicious vehicle that crossed the Yellow Line. The IDF said the car continued to approach the forces after warning shots were fired, leading soldiers to fire at the vehicle “to remove a threat.” Gazans have been repeatedly warned not to cross the “Yellow Line” into the buffer zone.
Arab media claimed the car was carrying displaced Gazans “seeking to return to their homes.”
Katz said that he instructed the IDF to place physical markers along the Yellow Line so that the boundaries are clearly visible. Katz added the markers will serve as a warning to Hamas terrorists and Gaza residents “that any violation or attempt to cross the line will be met with fire.”
US Warns Hamas is Targeting Gaza Civilians
On Saturday, the US State Department informed the guarantor nations of the Trump Administration’s Gaza “peace deal” of “credible reports indicating an imminent ceasefire violation by Hamas against the people of Gaza.”
The State Department issued a stern warning, writing, “This planned attack against Palestinian civilians would constitute a direct and grave violation of the ceasefire agreement and undermine the significant progress achieved through mediation efforts.
“Should Hamas proceed with this attack, measures will be taken to protect the people of Gaza and preserve the integrity of the ceasefire,” the State Department emphasized.
“The United States and the other guarantors remain resolute in our commitment to ensuring the safety of civilians, maintaining calm on the ground, and advancing peace and prosperity for the people of Gaza and the region as a whole.”
Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem told Al-Araby TV the terror group rejected the statement, categorically denying the accusations and claiming the “talk about Hamas attacking residents is baseless lies.”
However, Qassem added, “We cannot allow any party or power in the world to cancel a political force, including Hamas,” – a statement reflecting the terror organization’s clear intent to violate the Trump Plan, despite having agreed to it.
Hamas Using Street Executions to Settle Old Scores, Reassert Control
There have been multiple reports that Hamas is executing Gazans to eliminate so-called “collaborators” with Israel, including clans working to replace Hamas as an independent, neutral governing force in the enclave.
Senior Hamas official Mohammed Nazzal defended the move in an interview with Reuters on Friday by citing “exceptional measures” and claiming those executed were “criminals” guilty of murder.
President Donald Trump issued his harshest warning to the terrorists on Thursday, saying in a social media post, “If Hamas continues to kill people in Gaza, which was not the deal, we will have no choice but to go in and kill them.”
Center for Peace Communications president Joseph Braude told Fox News Digital on Friday that Hamas is using the post-war lull to settle old scores.
Braude warned the terrorist organization is exploiting the ceasefire to reassert dominance in the enclave, adding that Hamas operatives killed a pregnant woman earlier in the week.
“It is indiscriminate killing designed simply to sow fear in ordinary people,” he said. His organization released a video on X in which a Gazan described the murder of a 5-year-old child on Thursday as part of the Hamas campaign against opponents.

I didn’t imagine Hamas would break the ceasefire, i thought this time was ACTUALLY going to bring peace.
Really. Are you being honest.
They never wanted peace. They wanted their 2000 terrorists freed from prison. Nothing more.
As far as the return of the hostages. Well sad to say (hopefully I’m wrong). They’ll get more 😢
The odds of a Martian invasion tomorrow are much higher than hamas keeping to a peace deal!
BH
We will all assume this was sarcasm.. Well done!
Moshiach NOW!! AD MOSAI!!
Hamas isn’t interested in peace
Nor are any arabs
Face it
They hate us
According to their teachings
They are supposed to rule
Jews are supposed to be subservient to them
Arabs are filled with pride
They can’t handle it
You really think terrorists will not break the deal?!
On individual level: So glad so the living hostages returned; and some of deceased.Let’s do all we can to bring Moshiach.
Whoever thought there would be peace
The insanity of repeating the same actions and expecting different outcomes.
It is time to finish off,l Hamas, and to remember the goal that somehow was lost in the last months, and that Trump dropped but had incredibly enough endorsed, in February: ***voluntary emigration from Gaza.***
What’s the The Jewish Edition? Any interesting content over there?
Hamas never intends to disarm. What was signed for part 1 did not include disarming and trump never gave them a time limit to disarm. Ben gvir gave a time limit to bibi to disarm hamas and pass the death penalty law for terrorists or else ben gvir will topple the govt. Smotrich also demands war be continued to destroy hamas. Hamas still hasnt returned all dead hostages which is part 1 of the deal. Hamas has been killing its opponents and a pregnant woman and 5 yr old child in revenge attacks during the ceasefire. Israel was asked to… Read more »
territory safe for Gazans, or anybody else that’s there. Gaza should be completely taken back by Israel and any civilians there should be given safe options to leave.
Not surprised at all. Now Israel you finally have a chance to wipe them all out – use it.
A million percent
Well before it wasn’t that clear but now it’s getting into the clear zone whether the conflict would disburse or dissipate but at this point we know who’s on which side and what the intentions are truly.
Moshiach now. Agbag
If they didn’t want peace and an end to the war,
why would they return all the (live) hostages?
This is why the Rebbe said countless times that we don’t make deals with terrorists…
WHEN did the Rebbe say that?
Clearly when you were not listening
millions of times!!!!!!!!!!!
Why is there no capital punishment for terrorists in Israel? There won’t be a hostage issue if there is nothing to trade them for and perhaps there would be some fear.
Fair chance there will be. Why isn’t there? Mainly because we don’t like what the death penalty does to a society that uses it. But there will be a debate about it in the coming months and years, and we may very well end up adopting it.

In the mid-70s, when Yitzchak Rabin was Prime Minister, there were a couple of Arab factions in Lebanon fighting each other. This took pressure off Israel. So, Rabin, visiting America, was interviewed by a panel of journalists on TV (could have been “Meet the Press”, “Issues and Answers”, etc.). One journalist threw this one at him , something like: “Mr. Prime Minister, that conflict going on in your backyard, Lebanon, aren’t you glad they are, kind of, beating the heck out of each other?” My mother remarked, “Wouldn’t you like him to say yes.” So, Rabin paused for a few… Read more »
