The Joe Biden administration announced Thursday that its vaccine mandate applying to private businesses with 100 or more employees, certain health care workers and federal contractors will take effect January 4.
The rules stipulate that employees that fall into those groups will need to have received the necessary shots to be fully vaccinated, either two doses of Pfizer or Moderna’s vaccine or one dose of Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine, by January 4.
US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky is now endorsing a recommendation to vaccinate children ages 5-11 against Covid-19, clearing the way for immediate vaccination of the youngest age group yet in the United States.
“CDC now expands vaccine recommendations to about 28 million children in the United States in this age group and allows providers to begin vaccinating them as soon as possible,” the agency said in a statement.
Earlier Tuesday, CDC’s independent vaccine advisers voted 14-0 in favor of the child-sized doses of vaccine for the younger kids.
“As you’ve heard, we all have a lot of enthusiasm for this vaccine in this age group,” Dr. Beth Bell, a clinical professor of global health at the University of Washington, said after the vote.
“But we also understand that parents have legitimate concerns and legitimate questions and that our vote is a way of telling the American public that based on our expertise and the information that we have, we’re all very enthusiastic,” Bell added.
New York City is also extending its $100 vaccine incentive to young children getting vaccinated at school sites or city-run clinics, Mayor Bill de Blasio said Thursday.
Children who get their COVID shots at schools or at other city clinics across the five boroughs will be eligible for the $100 incentive that the city has offered since late July to new vaccine recipients getting their shots at city-run sites.
As of now, the vaccine for young children has not been mandated. If it is in the future, both parents and schools in Crown Heights and elsewhere will be facing a tough decision on how to proceed.
This is extremely scary…. Who would risk giving this shot to your child- kids have died from the shot.
The shot has only just been approved for kids, – with kid doses. Why would you spread such misinformation?

These are kid doses.
Any medical intervention carries a risk.
Scientists have spent the last year analyzing whether the negative possible side effects of a vaccine outweigh the negative risks of Covid.
If they’re advising kids get the jab, it’s because it’s less risky than them catching Covid.
But maybe we should just watch Fox news and make up our own minds?

30 years ago when babies had to get vaccinated, there was one dose that lasted for life. Here even after 3 doses and it’s still not enough. The government is lying and so are you! I love how we go to the doctor all the time as they are the professionals and all of a sudden they we know better in a medical field. Last I checked they don’t teach medicinal information in the yeshivas. The rebbe always said in health cases to ask multiple doctors so why now all of a sudden we have become the doctors baffles me. Some facts: 1) The Covid vaccine does not prevent infection. The viral load in the nose of the vaccinated and the unvaccinated is identical. The vaccine only prevents severe illness and death.
