On Friday morning, a fire broke out in a three-story building on Eastern Parkway, where about 20 young students of the Central Yeshiva at 770 were sleeping.
Four young men were evacuated to the hospital, with three in moderate condition and one in critical condition.
15 young men lost all their belongings, including tefillin, passports, money and clothes.
Please help them to buy the minimum of clothing and necessities in the midst of a cold and snowy winter.

Where is the yeshiva in all of this, starting from having safe places from bachurim to stay, and taking full responsibility for the safety and well being of all those affected by this tragedy.
If you were to believe the articles that they were in yeshiva, you have a very valid question.
This wasn’t a yeshiva dorm.
They were lubavitch young men living in ch privately renting from a private person.
I’m quite surprised at the comments. These are young frum bachurim from our community who just went through a tragedy. Imagine the tables were turned and this was your child crying for help. If you can help great. If not , then at least perhaps consider saying a perek Tehilim for another Jew that is in a Tzara.
These Bochrim are currently not part of the Yeshiva. Maybe they used to be in the past. They are all working Bochrim who rented an apt. Nothing to do with 770. They all need help now,
Many of the bochurim are students of the yeshiva.
Who is this campaign endorsed by? Is there no insurance on the building?
Who are these boys? where are they from?
Who cares!? Their “our” boys and they’re hurting! We as klal yisroel need to help them.
Shmuel ben Merav, who is in critical condition!
רפואה שלמה רפואה שלמה רפואה שלמה
They are not boys off the street . 1- the are frum yidden 2- they are from fellow famillies if Chasidim. are these not enough if a reason ?
please keep us informed of updates
On Friday night, I had a bochur come over for the meal that he lived in the basement of this house.
All his belongings BH were not burned, but everything is smelling fire. Hope he can get rid of the smell at least. Imagine the other bochurim who had everything burned down. Hashem Yishmor.
if the bochurim need financial assistance, it would help by clarifying if the homeowner has insurance, and if it covers temporary replacement accommodations, and belongings replacements, if the yeshiva ensures that bochurim have health insurance and coverage and who is creating this charidy campaign and specifically for who and what. when’s there’s a tragedy, simply popping up a charidy page without deep background is counterproductive
Then don’t give. Anyone who feels inclined to will give and anyone who doesn’t won’t. Simple
Home owners insurance does not cover personal property of others, That is why everyone should buy renters insurance it’s cheap, And this is exactly the situation that it covers.
Is not the school’s problem they had nothing to do with 770 yeshiva!
I’m
Not related to any of the boys . I’m just quite shocked at the coldness being displayed. We run to help not frum ppl. A bachur that needs winter clothes and Tefillin we ask a million questions. They are not affiliated with the yeshiva they are graduates if the yeshiva. The owner will not share with his tenants his pay out. Right now they need help. Maybe consider not buying one morning coffee and help a fellow Jew in need.
First of all, refuah shelaima, and their other needs taken care of. Now, PREVENTION! Roughly 3,300 home fires are caused by extension cords each year, resulting in 50 deaths and 270 injuries. Extension Cord Safety employers and employees need to consider an important element of electrical safety in the workplace — the safe use of extension cords. The most important thing to remember is that extension cords are for temporary use only (up to 90 days in General Industry workplaces). Install permanent wiring in conduit when usage is no longer temporary. Do: • Do inspect an extension cord for physical… Read more »
