As Camp L’chatchila Ariber (CLA) enters its milestone fifth year, it continues to redefine the summer experience for girls coming out of 7th and 8th grade.
Traveling amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Western United States, CLA combines a love for nature and adventure with authentic Chassidishe values, creating a program that is as transformative as it is exhilarating.
Founded and directed by seasoned camp leader Mrs. Srula Chaiton, CLA offers a unique three-week hybrid experience, blending travel and overnight camp. The itinerary takes campers on a journey through Hashem’s wonders—exploring majestic canyons, serene reservoirs, expansive deserts, and iconic national parks. Activities like hiking, zip-lining, canyoneering, boating, and glamping ensure each day is packed with excitement and discovery.
But CLA is more than just an outdoor adventure. It is a place for personal and spiritual growth. Campers participate in interest-based shiurim and interactive workshops, exploring their connection to Hashem in meaningful, practical ways. As one of our campers, Avigail expressed: “CLA changed my life. The chayus and inspiration I received last summer continues to impact my day-to-day life. Not only did we go on amazing trips and saw Hashem’s world wonders, but I also grew tremendously from the many farbregens, learning, Chitas, and inspiration gained from just being there. Every single day was filled with so much, I can hardly believe it was only 3 weeks!”
