Over 400 Jews join Sedorim in no less than 3 cities in the Kingdom of Cambodia. With the help of six bochurim arrived before Shabbos Hagodol aiming to leave no Jew without Matzah nationwide.
Before coming to the cities in which they ran the Seder, the bochurim went to small villages and gave out Shmurah Matzah while encouraging local Jews and travelers to join the Sedorim. Matzah was sent to 10 cities, villages and islands.
Finally, our thanks to the Bachurim who came from the other side of the world and worked tirelessly so this could happen:
Bochurim Isaac Mintz and Leible Pape led the Seder in Sihanoukville. Zalmy Frankel and Shmuly Laufer led the Seder in Siem Reap, Shayki Rotenberg and Berish Rotenberg led the Seder in Phnom Penh.
Rabbi Bentzion Butman of Chabad Cambodia thanked Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch for enabling the project by sending the Bachurim as well as a significant financial support that brought this target into reality.
Additional thanks to donors Mr. Stephen Schechter of Taipei, Taiwan for his ongoing support. Mr. Shlomo Werdiger of Melbourne, Australia for sponsoring the Matzah and wine for the Sedorim, and Mr. Akiva Kremniser of Singapore.
