Brooklyn Artisan Bakehouse, a beloved café and dairy restaurant in Crown Heights, has recently relocated to a new and improved space on Empire Blvd.
After seven successful years on E New York Avenue in the southern part of the neighborhood, owner and founder Levi Krinsky made the decision to move the bakery to a larger location to meet the growing demand and better serve their loyal customers.
The journey of the Bakehouse began in 2015 as an artisan bread operation, driven by a passion for high-quality ingredients and the revival of the art of handmade bread.
Over time, it has expanded its offerings to include a wide array of French pastries and evolved into a full-service café, serving a delightful brunch menu alongside gourmet coffee and homemade beverages.
With its increasing popularity, Brooklyn Artisan Bakehouse faced the ongoing challenge of meeting the high demand from its customers. As the lease for their previous location approached its end, the decision was made to embark on a search for a new and larger space.
After extensive renovations, the bakery has settled into its new home at 665 Empire Blvd, corner Albany Avenue. The new shop features separate entrances for dining-in and take-out, ensuring that customers’ needs are met efficiently and conveniently.
“Our upgraded kitchen will allow us to produce more efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards,” they said.
Excitingly, the new location also offers a second-floor event space with a seating capacity of up to 80 guests. To facilitate booking for special occasions, such as Bris, Upshernish, and Sheva Brachos, the Bakehouse introduced convenient packages that make organizing a memorable celebration a breeze.
While still offering the popular brunch menu, the Bakehouse introduced an all-new dinner menu that caters to a variety of tastes. Patrons can expect a diverse selection of dishes that are sure to please every palate. And for pizza enthusiasts, a special addition to the menu is on its way: Sourdough Pizza.
“We invite you to join us at our new location, where we are committed to providing a delightful dining experience and continuing our tradition of artisanal excellence,” they said.

love the trendy, fancy decor… taking it to the next level
wondering perhaps they can do an early bird bird special for those struggling to make ends meet ?
We love the Bakehouse . This is our first stop whenever we visit Crown Heights. Great food, great ambiance, and nice customer service!
The owner Levi Krinsky is such a Mentch, very sweet guy, and has provided us with beautiful Sheva Brachos for us in the past.
Would they allow people to come and sit and work there, using their Wi-Fi?
From the ladies who lunch, I speak on behalf of all of us!! Thank you for creating this space for us to eat delicious food, drink great coffee, spend time with family and friends in a great atmosphere right here in the shchuna. Levi, you’re doing something very right! Much Hatzlacha!
Pls make the place more accessible for strollers. The set up doesn’t make sense when you have a ramp but we still need to carry our strollers up steps. I came one day and women were in and out just helping each other carry strollers up.
Always welcomed with a warm smile by the owner- Levi Krinsky. The food is the absolute BEST- nothing like it!! My fave spot in Crown Heights
We were there a few days ago, and the food just blew me away. (If anybody cares, I had the Salmon Burger.)
