Magen David Adom ambulances and motorcycles are heading to Ben Gurion Airport on Monday afternoon to prepare for the emergency landing of a plane at the airport, an MDA spokesperson announced.
The Airport Authority announced that Ben Gurion Airport is preparing for an emergency landing on Monday afternoon of a flight that took off from Germany to Israel after tire pieces and other objects were found on the tarmac in Germany, Channel 13 reported.
Due to the emergency declared at Ben Gurion airport and with ambulance teams rushing to provide coverage there, United Hatzalah has declared a heightened state of readiness for the duration of the emergency for all responders in central Israel to provide coverage for any and all emergencies during the shortage of ambulances throughout the region.
